I kept thinking I didn't have many photos for a post. I thought I'd make some more photos, build up something, and get around to it. Rinse and repeat a few times on that. Then it turned out I was making lots of photos. And I have a ton to share. So this results in a mid summer mega post. Gonna be a long one. But I hope you enjoy it.
A little while back celebrating Alex's birthday in the park with a slingshot. So very Portland. This spot sucks, but Andrew still pulled off this blunt to fakie.Juniper at the river.Did a fun solo hike and did some long exposures. Took the long way back to the parking lot on my hike. Earned me a lot of extra elevation. But worth it for no one on that path.Found an amazing swimming hole. The downside is that it only gets sun for about 3 hours and it's the coldest water.Bike explorations.Self portrait.Chris moved back east. So we all got one more good hang with him to say farewell.Based John does not want to believe that Chris is leaving.
Now for a ton of photos from Adjacent, a PNW skateboard gathering. It was a weekend full of interesting talks related to skateboarding, an art show, skate trivia, and lots of hangs. I was bummed that I couldn't skate due to a sprained ankle. A whole crew of friends descended on my favorite curb spot. It was frustrating being unable to skate with them. But it did give me a chance to lurk and make some photos. Overall a fun weekend of full skateboard nerding out.
Cole, Jamie, AL, and Paul discuss the questions that stumped us at skate trivia.2 legends from Sioux Falls - Greg and Andy. (Correction from Micah- Greg is from SLC and Andy is from Mitchell, SD) My apologies for saying you guys are from Sioux Falls. This couple pulled up to multiple events and cooked us super delicious meals. We'll see what the rest of this summer brings as my ankle heals. I'm thankful that I'm able to ride my bike. It's good for the ankle and I need some kind of exercise and outside time to keep my sanity. I've got a thing I'm working on about birds in my backyard. We got a great view of a brood of robins nesting, hatching, and fledging. Turns out that hanging around in my backyard with a camera makes for getting all kinds of other bird photos.
